Renewable energy sources

Major energy generation in the world is done based on conventional energy sources.

Thermal power plant based on oil/gas/coal is a major source of electricity generation currently in the world today.  Around 64 % of total energy generation.

Solar Energy

Energy produced by solar rays through PV principle : Solar Energy. Currently, the world has 850 GW of installed capacity of solar plant

Wind Energy

The energy produced by wind mill is 750 GW today world wide.

Wind turbine helps to convert kinetic energy of wind into electric power

Hydro Power

The world currently produces 1900 GW of energy through hydro power i.e. power from dam water.

The electric power obtained from dam water through water turbine is known as hydro power.

Tidal Energy

Energy from tides is not very popular due to poor efficiency. But can be a source of renewable energy.

Geothermal Energy

The energy produced from the steam or hot water coming from the earth is called geothermal energy.  Currently, the world has around 16 GW capacity for such kind plants.

In a nutshell

People of earth need to compulsarily rely on these renewable energy sources in future when there will be a scarcity of traditional energy sources like coal, gas and oil.
